  • Remove the fuse panel cover.
  • On my '97 A4 and '00 S4, the 4th fuse location is empty and is switched with the ignition.
  • Attach a spade connector that is the same size as a normal fuse to the positive (+) wire of the V1 module .
  • Insert it into the left  [ - - ] side of the fuse slot.  This slot location only has a connector on the left side.

  • The V1 hardwire module comes with an inline fuse holder. Be sure to use it!
  • Attach the ground wire.  I chose the one of the bolts for the dash.
  • Secure the supplied RJ-11 hardwire module and all the wiring after you've finished routed the wiring.

  • Take look at the very cool dashboard energy absorbing structure.   Elegantly crafted aluminum honeycomb.
  • My V1 is mounted on the sun visor.  If you mount yours on the windshield run the cable along the base of the windshield or whatever you prefer.
  • I ran the RJ11 cable between the dash and up the A-pillar.  I applied a very small amount of clear silicone on the cable in 4 locations to secure it.  The black cable is almost invisible once it's tucked in.

  • The cable exits...
