Installing the factory armrest

Install the armrest into the console.  It will not seat completely into the bracket - interference fit.  Install the bolt for the armrest and tighten it carefully.  As you tighten the bolt the armrest base will pull down and fit flush against the console base.  Don't over tighten the bolt... remember everything is nice lightweight aluminum.
Slide the console with the new armrest back into place - remember to route the phone jack.  Secure with the 3 nuts.  Tighten them evenly (remember aluminum folks).  Reinstall the 2 - 8mm bolts at the middle of the console and snap the bolt covers in place.

Snap the phone jack back into the housing and secure with that pesky little clip.  The squiggly part goes inside and is not visible once you snap it into place.  Snap the housing back into the console.
Don't forget the phone jack cover and the rubber mat in the storage compartment.
Slide the rear half of the parking brake cover into place.  When you put the front half back on make sure to push the retaining tab for the rear half up against the brake lever or the retaining pin cannot be installed.
Drop the ashtray into place- it's easier if  door is open.
Ta-da!  Factory armrest!  No clearance problems even with the sport seats and it matches my interior perfectly... it is factory after all.
Folded up and neatly out of the way.
And, to keep my sometimes grimy elbow from getting the nice new satin fabric all dirty, an appropriate dose of Scotchgard.
