The APR chip is not quite as smooth as the factory ECU. It's very powerful, and sometimes not completely smooth in the power band while accelerating quickly.

I use 94 Octane fuel, I once put in 91 octane by mistake and the performace decreased ,turbo lag, sputtering,irregular boost between 4-6000 RPM along with decreased power output at this RPM. Even with 94 power still suffers slightly between 4-6000 RPM.

'00 Passat. I also purchased the spare ECU to avoid downtime and dealer service grief.This is a great chip and I would recommend chipping in general.Including suspension and tire/wheel upgrades this car has been transformed into an awesome vehicle.

I previously had the Neuspeed chip. I wanted the Garrett Tip chip and replaced the ECU chip with it believing the combo would work better together. The Garrett chip definitely feels like it produces more power than the Neuspeed chip across the board.

I am totally amazed at how much raw pulling power there is now.I'ts almost like I have to be careful where I actually unleash this now. Nice predicament though. totally driveable, not much different than stock unless driven aggesively and then, whoppee.

The chip has transformed my car. The surging problem which went away was worth the power gain. It has not returned. It is hard to drive the car without punching it, but when I do I have made it over 400 miles on a tank, 28mpg.

No worries about engine damage, as chip controlls detonation VERY well. I see 16-17 psi max, mostly due to my exhaust.. LOVE it.. I want an S4 just so I can MTM chip THAT baby!

Car kicks butt up here in the altitude, can run 95-100+ up Vail pass, 9 mile long 7-8% grade, no overheating or high oil temps pass tops out @ 10,600ft

Wow, the chip alone really woke up the car. 3rd gear, 40mph thru 75 mph has a real 'oh my god factor'. Highly recomended. My unit cost only cost $170.

Great reliable chip down to extremely cold weather conditions. Living in a cooler climate, I would likely buy a 1.0 bar chip next time as detonation is not a big risk for me.

Upgraded chip and then the fuel pres. reg. (FPR)the 5 bar FPR DID make a diff. Gives good power (1.5 seconds off 0-60) Drives smooth, no surge. Gas milage equivalent. Idle may be a little rougher (not sure). Reccomended.

This is a Passat report. Recently upgraded to 1.0 bar Neuspeed chip with addition of 5 bar fuel pressure regulator from .8 bar Neuspeed chip. Now much smoother torque curve, more low & mid range power, and turbo lag is almost totally eliminated.

The chip claims to increase to 200hp and 236ft lbs tq. With the increase of tq i needed to install an S4 front sway bar. It helped alot. I have stock non-sport pac rims for now but that will change soon i hope!
